Green Hill Hosts AAHSA Homecoming Week Program with Assemblywoman Mila Jasey

Green Hill, Inc hosted a roundtable discussion group with seniors and New Jersey State Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, D27 for the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging national Homecoming Week on Wednesday, June 2nd. AAHSA is a non-profit organization representing 5000 not-for-profit nursing homes, retirement communities, assisted living residences and senior housing.
Assemblywoman Mila Jasey D27 spoke with Green Hill residents about the future of aging in American, what it will look like, who the decision makers may be and how government, elders, family members, and care providers may play their role. Major themes discussed included the need for transportation for senior citizens to access services, including socialization, cultural and religious institutions. Access to family, nutrition and healthcare were also identified as a priority for seniors.
Green Hill is currently building the Green House Homes an innovative model of senior nursing care which provides 24 hour care in family friendly, home-like setting where resident’s emotional growth and well-being are tended along with their physical health care.
