Green House Gala

Green Hill Inc, a not-for-profit organization, has been providing care to New Jersey senior citizens since 1866. The Green House® project an innovative new model of nursing care founded by Dr. William Thomas reflects the same core values of senior care replicated in the Green House Homes project at Green Hill.

The Green House ® project is the culmination of a life-long dream of the Executive Director Toni Lynn Davis to improve quality of life for our elders in a 24 hour nursing care environment where the focus on a resident’s personal growth and emotional health is as primary to their overall well-being as is their physical health. It is the belief of Ms Davis that this level of care can only be provided in an environment that reflects a ‘true’ home experience for residents. With the support of the Green Hill Inc. family, immediate past Chairman Lincoln Ames, the current board of trustees, and staff, The Green House Homes at Green Hill will proudly provide this comprehensive level of care to New Jersey elders beginning Spring of 2011.

On October 14th, 2010 at 6:30pm, the Green House Gala, will be held at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange, NJ. This important fundraiser is being held to support the construction of the Green House Homes and the programs and services provided to area senior citizens that exemplify the Green House Homes mission for the personal growth and emotional health of our elders.

The Gala will honor the legacy of Lincoln Ames, who was the immediate past Chairman of the board of trustees of Green Hill (2004 -2006) and instrumental in the success of the Green House Homes project at Green Hill. The Honorable William Pascrell Jr is Honorary Chairman of the event. Pascrell a US Congressman from the 8th district in New Jersey has been an advocate for senior issues in the State and country for the length of his legislative career.
